Chapter 2 - Crush of My Life

DISCLOSURE OF MY LIE

After 3 days of reunion, i.e., 28th September .
It was late mid night, and I am not able to sleep so I thought to go through from the photographs that I captured on the day of reunion on my phone. As I am watching the photographs suddenly my cell phone began to ring and the name flash on it was Varun. I got panic because it was 1:30 am and he is calling me at that time why?? I picked up the phone and without saying hello!!
I directly asked him-
IS EVERY THING ALRIGHT??
He answered,’ Yes.’
Then I asked him the reason for calling me so late. He said that he has an important work in Chandigarh so will I accompany him and he perfectly knew how to convince me. As I am fond of bikes and cars so he said he will be going there via “ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET “ the bike I love the most. Fortunately, it was off for my college next day so I agreed to give him accompany as we were going on my favourite bike.
We left for Chandigarh at around 10:00 am. We went Elante the biggest mall in Chandigarh to buy new clothes for him and that's the important work he has in Chandigarh. After the we watched movie in the same mall and had burger in MC Donald's as our lunch. The movie was over at around 5:30 pm then we went to the Sukhana lake in evening. We parked the vehicle and entered the lake area through the main entrance. There were small restaurants operating at the entrance and some small stalls with vendors selling a variety of eatables and toys for the kids. Given the time at which we had arrived, there weren’t many people there. Usually it is late in the evening when the lake attracts a large crowd.
We walked past the entrance and headed towards the shore of the lake. It was calm. On one side nature offered rich greenery with beautiful palm trees, bonsais and multicoloured flowers, and on other side it offered us a soothing expanse of water. The placid lake, with the hills of Kasauli behind it, wonderfully filled our sight. The silent water in the lake reflected the clouds in the sky above. The audio speakers installed every twenty meters on
the path along the shore treated our ears with the gentle melody of classical music.
Occasionally, the quacks of a herd of ducks paddling in the lake would drown out the sound of the classical music.
There were many people who were there to enjoy the happiest moment of their life some of them were newly married couples watching people as they were doing boating, some of them were kissing to each other in front of the public and we sat on the shore of the lake. We were silent for more than 15 minutes as we were enjoying the cold breeze and it was he who broke the silence and asked me that why I lied in the game. I was shocked and asking myself how he know that I lied??
But my answer was I didn't lied. Who told you that I lied??
Then he said -
" B*NCH*D. BAAP SE BAKCHODI"
which means don't try to be over smart.
And continue saying that " dude we were more than friends and we knew each other well" but my inner voice was trying to say you know me better than myself. And I don't know why I started crying. After a while I stopped crying as everyone around us looking at me. Then I told him that my crush is in our friend circle and that's Ria.
Then he put a heap of several questions in front of me.
And ordered me to tell him the complete story in detail.

CHAPTER 2

OUR FIRST MEETING

I remember the day well it was.
7th APRIL
I was happy because I have been promoted to grade 11th grade. When I reached my new class I saw there were 5 students only inside the class three of them were girls and me and Vishal. We all sat on different benches as nobody know anyone and I occupied the last seat because I love the last seat. Teachers were coming to take their respective subjects lectures, introducing themselves and taking our introduction but I knew many of them as I was studying in the same school since my childhood. Then it comes our lunch time when I was sitting sad as my best friend Varun started his coaching in ALLEN which is situated in KOTA (Rajasthan) and it will be very arduous for us to meet. But suddenly I realised some footsteps started coming to me as a look upward I saw a girl which was sitting in my class standing next to me.
She told me that her name is Ria and could I tell her my name??
I listened only to the second part of the her question as I was lost in my own thoughts.
I answered her question very politely as she was my the first Stranger girl to whom I was talking for very first time in my new class and in my life as well.
She started talking to me telling me about her past grades and asking me about my grades.
I said don't ask any student about his/her grades it hurts more than anything else, or I mummered to me .
But she kept on talking to me . Then we went to our school canteen for our lunch. She hadn't brought her lunch so I order a sandwich for her but she refused and there was I who forced her to ate a sandwich as it was she who persuade me to have my lunch and it was my turn to counter back her. It was obvious that I have to pay for that sandwich because it was I who forced her to have a sandwich.
Then our classes resumed as our break was over. When it came to call it a day I again asked her name because I didn't listened her name first time.
She just smiled and passed me without telling me her name but I swear on my friendship with Varun, as everyone do the same even the teachers because our friendship was so true, her smile was killer!!
I noticed her tiny nose as well and wondered how it allowed in enough oxygen.
In the parking area of our school we met again and she noticed me and came to me and said 'Sorry' for not responding me in class because the teacher inside the class knows her father well and her family doesn't like her talking to boys.
She said her name is Ria Nandal.
Then I asked her in a very shy manner as she was the first girl to whom I was asking something,"Could she like to be friends with me??" and forward my hand towards her for shaking.

For sure, why not?? , she said and shook her hand with me and left the place.
